Promise Ratings

Promise status ratings (Pending, In Progress, Fulfilled, Broken, Expired) require human editorial review. Automated systems flag potential status changes, but all final ratings are set by editors who review source material, legislative action, and public statements.

Analytical Inferences

Some features (e.g., “Follow the Money” in the relationship graph) show analytical inferences that connect voting patterns to donor industries. These are always clearly labeled as “analytical” or “inferred” and should not be treated as proven causal relationships.

Data Attribution

All data is attributed to its original source. Voting records come from ProPublica (sourced from Congress.gov), financial data from the FEC and congressional disclosure offices, and STOCK Act data from community-maintained watchers of official filings.
